Sat - June 29, '18 (Note 1)
Way up in the
mountains average
a mile high all
day. making slow
progress along. 14 hours
late mostly desolate
country and are in
Wyo. most of the
day. Wrote to Berniece
Saw a saloon today
and also a drunk
man. looked quite
funny. towns are
many miles apart
105 miles in one case.
woke up at Hanna Wyo.
at midnight where
we were given cigarettes
and treated quite
lavishly.


Sun - June 30, '18
woke up at Cheyenne
at 5 o'clock where we
stayed until 7 o'clock.
passed into Nebraska
at 9 o'clock and took
exercise and stood
muster roll at Sidney
Nebr. Very pretty
country. mostly level
some low hills.
altitude about 2200 ft.
awfully hot. got to
North Platte at 4 oclock
change time to 5 oclock
treated fine there.
took exercises again
ate supper on leaving
there. got to
Lexington at 6:30.
nice place too....
